'Information not shared is forgotten'

Once again we have some 9 addition to our Philips Publications archive for your Christmas and New Year reading.
Our oldest publication is now the Philips Gloeilampenfabrieken history of 'Philips 1891- 1916' which was to record the company's twenty-fifth anniversary. Originally in Dutch the English version retains a smaller Dutch version on the left of each page with the right giving the text in English. The only loss in the English version is the definition of some of the original pictures. Both versions were housed together in a hard cover presentation case. This gem comes from Sir Ivor Cohen who received it when UK MD of Lighting.

Sir Ivor has also provided many of the new items.
Another early item is the 'Century House Magazine, October 1952'.
There are several semi-technical documents around TV and this rapidly developing industry of the 1960 - 1990 period.
'50 Years of Television' 'Mullard part of the television industry'
'Teletext Extensions'
'Fact' published by the National Economic Development Office on component quality improvements in two languages
'Mullard Outlook April 1966'
'Mullard (Philips Components) Electronic Home Management' a 1988 view of controlling your home from your mobile phone
'Computopia' a step by step look at order processing by Organization & Methods

Extending our Archive with these publications has required a significant effort by Barry our webmaster. Thank you Barry.

BREXIT matter continue to grab the headlines. It is becoming increasingly evident that Money is the only talking point for the EU negotiators. Many like myself are fearful of the outcome - hard or soft. Most look forward to 'self determination' and having a vote to select your representatives and spokespersons.

The life of Epepnet has now been extended until September 2020. By then both Barry and Tony will be close to age 90. It is therefore necessary to ask our colleagues and friends who read epepnet two questions: -
Are you able to take on the tasks of Webmaster or Web Manager? -
Do you wish or believe that Epepnet should live beyond 2020?

Please email either Webmaster Barry or Web Manager Tony with your views and comments.
